Here, I have listed Top 5 Best Computer Programmers in the world who have contributed  a lot of things in their lifetimes. There is no doubt that these programmers innovation and contribution changed our lifestyle in the modern era. Coding might be a tough task for normal programmers but it is the simplest thing to innovate something and this simplest thing can make you a great person if you try hard.

Thanks to those Top 5 innovators, Computer Programmers who innovated best things and inspired and influenced others to work in this industry. When Developers or Computer Programmers discuss the worlds top programmers, these names tend to come up a lot.

1. Dennis Ritchie

Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie was an American computer scientist. He created the C Programming language, and along with long-time colleague Ken Thompson, the Unix Operating System and B Programming Language. Ritchie and Thompson were awarded the Turing Award from the ACM in 1983, the Hamming Medal from the IEE in 1990 and the National Medal of Technology from President Bill Clinton in 1999. Ritchie was the head of Lucent Technologies System Software Research Department when he retired in 2007.

Bjarne Stroustrup

Bjarne Stroustrup is a Danish computer scientist, most notable for the creation and development of the widely used C++ programming language. He is a Distinguished Research Professor and holds the College of Engineering Chair in Computer Science at Texas A&M University, a visiting professor at Columbia University, and works at Morgan Stanley.

3. Linus Torvalds

Linus Torvalds

Linus Benedict Torvalds is a Finnish American software engineer. He is the founder and coordinator of the Linux kernel Operating system which he created in his dorm room at the University of Helsinki. He also created the distributed control system Git(Open Source) which is used worldwide now. In 1998 Linus was honored with Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) Pioneer Award, In 1999 he received ‘one of the top 100 innovators, under the age of 35’ in the world’ by MIT Technology Review TR100, in 2000 he received Lovelace Medal, by British Computer Society, in 2012 he was the recipient of the Millennium Technology Prize. An interesting fact about him is that everyone in his family (other than those from his maternal side) were journalists but he preferred something else.

James Gosling

James Arthur Gosling is a Canadian computer scientist, best known as the father of the Java programming language. James has also made major contributions to several other software systems, such as NeWS and Gosling Emacs. Due to his extra-ordinary achievements Gosling was elected to Foreign Associate member of the United States National Academy of Engineering.

5. Tim Berners-Lee

Sir Timothy John “Tim” Berners-Lee also known as “TimBL,” is a British computer scientist, best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web. He made a proposal for an information management system in March 1989 and he implemented the first successful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and server via the Internet. Berners-Lee is the director of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which oversees the Web’s continued development.
